Complementing our multiple basin exploration experience, Manti engineers have extensive experience in each step of field development, including drilling, completion, stimulation, facility construction, and gas processing.
Lee Barberito, Founder and President of Manti Resources, Inc. received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University. Prior to Manti, he worked for Exxon Co. USA and Netherland Sewell & Associates. His responsibilities included managing offshore Gulf of Mexico acquisitions and divestitures, as well as new discovery field development planning. Barberito was elected to All American Wildcatters in 2003, a select group of 100 leaders from the Oil and Gas Industry. Mr. Barberito is also Co-Founder and President of Cimex Biotech and Co-Founder and Director of Authentix and CryoPen Aesthetics, as well as President of FutureUS.
Tim graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1980 with a BBA in Petroleum Land Management. Prior to joining Manti as Land Manager in April of 1996, he spent 10 years at Exxon Corporation working trends in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and the Rocky Mountains. Tim's primary expertise is in oil and gas contracts and negotiations.
Barry graduated from Texas A&M in 1984 with degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Geology. He spent 11 years at Exxon as a reservoir engineer and a supervisor of various reservoir development groups prior to joining Manti. His specialties include field development, acquisitions, prospect evaluation, and reserve estimation. Barry's primary experience has been in Texas Gulf Coast, East Texas, and Louisiana areas.
Chris graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1977 with a Masters Degree in Earth Science and joined Getty Oil Company in Houston that same year. He worked for Hanson Mineral Company from 1980 to 1996 where he discovered numerous Wilcox fields totaling 400+bcfe. Since joining Manti in 1996, Chris has worked: South Louisiana; the West Texas overthrusted Paleozoics in Pecos County helping to develop Longfellow Field, 250bcfe; South Texas unexpanded Wilcox, discovering 5mmboe; and South Texas Frio fields such as Sarita East and Baffin Bay, where he recently discovery Jesuit Field, a 45bcfe accumulation. In addition, he is part of the deal-screening team that reviews most submitted prospects.
Robert Helm graduated from the University of Houston in 1980 with degrees in Finance and Accounting and an MBA in 1984. Prior to joining Manti Resources in 2003, Robert was employed by Texaco for 21 years where he held numerous management positions including CFO of Texaco's Western US operations, CFO Latin America and Asst. Controller International Division. At Manti, Robert is responsible for the finance, accounting and administrative activities for Manti Resources and Spirit Drilling Fluids, a subsidiary of Manti.
Jim Magee is the Chief Investment Officer and General Counsel of Manti Resources, including its subsidiary Manti Ventures, managing member of Malibu IQ. Mr. Magee manages the investments of Manti Resources outside of core exploration and production operations. He supervises and is responsible for all legal, regulatory and risk management activities worldwide. Before joining Manti, Mr. Magee was a partner in the law firm of Baldwin & Hapsel in New Orleans and was a member of the firm Management Committee for years. He is a two time award winner from Meritas, an international organization of leading law firms, for his efforts in the legal profession. In 2003, Mr. Magee was inducted in the Drew University Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Magee obtained a JD from Louisiana State University and received the Exxon Legal Scholarship Award. He graduated from Drew University in 1979 with honors.
Ben graduated from Auburn University in 1980 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His career began with Exxon in their Pensacola District where he had responsibility for all operations, surface and subsurface, in Exxon's environmentally sensitive South Florida Field. He then worked sour production operations and project management in Exxon's N. Florida / S. Alabama fields and sour gas and oil treating facilities gas and processing plants. Other project management responsibilities included design and construction of the Baton Rouge Gas Plant. Ben joined Manti in 1992 as a facilities operation and project manager with responsibilities including oil and gas marketing and gas processing, operations management of Manti's Pikes Peak Gas Treating Plant, and design and construction of production facilities. Ben is currently the Vice President of Producer Services of Magnus Energy Marking, a Manti subsidiary.
Mr. Moxam is a Co-Founder and Chairman of Authentix, a recognized leader in the use of nanotechnology-based solutions used by Fortune 500 companies and international governments in the global fight against industrial counterfeiting, piracy and excise tax fraud. Under Mr. Moxam's leadership, Authentix has received several awards including the prestigious UK Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2008 and in 2006. Moxam was recognized as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Technology. Prior to joining Authentix, Moxam performed a technology turnaround at Goldman Sachs' Starpoint for which he won a Goldman Sachs Technology TurnAround award in 2000. Prior to this, he spent a decade building EDS' New York- based Global Financial Markets Group. In 1998, Moxam was named the EDS Pinnacle Leadership Award Winner. Mr. Moxam is a Founder and Board of Directors Member for Compassites Software Solutions in India and a Senior Advisor and partner at Manti Holdings, a privately held energy company based in Texas. Mr. Moxam holds graduate diplomas in Physics and Business Administration from Laurentian University in Canada.
Harold Simmons has over 35 years of operating and financial experience as a financial executive and Chief Restructuring Officer of multi-billion dollar publically traded companies. Currently, Mr. Simmons is the Chief Financial Officer of Manti Ventures LLC, a holding company for an independent oil and gas exploration and production company and numerous private equity investments. He previously served as an officer of several public and private companies as well as a board member. Mr. Simmons is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from Loyola University and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
