Manti is fully committed to a balanced strategy of growth achieved through the exploitation of acquired fields and new exploration discoveries. A critical success factor has been the application of the multifunctional team concept which integrates geoscience/geophysical analysis and advanced engineering techniques, combined with the industry's latest information technology applications, to better define potential and assess risk.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES: |

As is true in every other industry, the oil business is experiencing a paradigm shift in the way information is managed. Manti has fully embraced the latest information technologies and utilizes these new tools to strengthen its growth strategies. Integrated Accounting, Land, and Production Information Systems: Manti has invested in hardware and software designed specifically for oil industry accounting and land work. Since the system integrates land and accounting data, changes in working and royalty interests flow seamlessly between the Land and Accounts Payable groups. The system also provides extensive flexibility to analyze expense trends by field, well, function, and basic accounts, which is critical in managing expenses. Field Portable Data Terminals (PDT) Technology: Capturing the myriad of field data accurately each day is a prerequisite to effective reservoir surveillance and machinery preventative maintenance. Manti's field personnel use the latest PDT hardware and software to enter data directly as they make their rounds. After transmitting the digital information to the office, it is captured in databases to provide real-time and historical tracking. |

Intranet / Internet Data Flow: Making a wide range of information easily available to all members of our team has significantly leveraged their contributions. A first priority is insuring that information generated internally can be easily shared. Also, the number of oil industry resources available on the Internet has grown exponentially; therefore, it has also become increasingly important to ensure easy access to these external information sources. For these reasons, Manti has adopted state-of-the-art LAN technologies along with its own Website on the Internet. In addition to providing resources to our teams, we've found it increasingly important to communicate and share work results with companies with whom we've established alliance relationships. Regulatory: Adhering to all regulatory requirements is essential to Manti's success. As such, Manti has purchased the latest computer automated system to acquire well data necessary for the development of all regulatory reporting. Before any drilling or wellwork operations begin, Manti's team reviews all rules and regulations applicable to the particular project and all necessary documentation is prepared. Reserves and Economic Reporting: Updated quarterly, our Revenue and Economics Reserve Reports show flowstream and economic projections for every well in which we have an interest, including future recompletions and drill wells, as well as current producing zones; enabling Manti review the basis of our present and future worth.
EXPLORATIONS - A WINNING TRACK RECORD (GEOSCIENCE): Manti's team of geoscientists represents over one hundren years of experience. Through the application of the multifunctional team concept, integrating geoscience/geophysical analysis and advanced engineering techniques, Manti has better defined potential and assessed risk. However the key to consistent success in any true exploration program is managing risk. To do so, Manti's strategy is centered on the following four principles: 1) Strategic Alliances: The importance of establishing alliance partners to share the risk in our existing portfolio of opportunities and to bring new opportunities to the table is an important way to leverage Manti's Exploration objectives. Manti actively seeks farm-in acreage. 2) Portfolio Diversity: Another distinguishing factor which has been adopted in Exploration is a portfolio approach where an inventory of opportunities are maintained with geologic and geographic diversity. 3) Aggressive Application of 3-D Seismic: Manti is fully committed to the application of 3-D technologies and has combined an experienced geo-technical staff with high end 3-D seismic imaging technology. 4) Employing Professionals with Extensive Experience in Core Geological Trends
ENGINEERING AND OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE: Manti specializes in all engineering disciplines related to upstream oil and gas operations. Our engineers participate in multifunctional teams to move oil & gas reserves up the value added curve expeditiously and economically. Some examples of the engineering expertise available to our teams include: Reservoir Engineering: Reservoir engineers at Manti work closely with their geoscience counterparts to complete comprehensive field studies with the objective of developing detailed assessments of commercial potential. Production, pressure, logs, and map information is integrated to define potential in each sand in each wellbore. This data is translated to both a wellbore utility matrix and Manti's Merak Peep reserve reporting system. From this data a backlog of workover and drilling opportunities are maintained and prioritized work plans are developed each quarter based upon potential and estimated cost. All engineers at Manti have extensive experience in the application of reservoir engineering principals. These engineers use the latest software for log analysis and field reservoir surveillance to monitor field reservoir performance. These tools are employed to existing fields in Manti's inventory and in the assessment of fields under consideration for acquisition. Drilling: Manti specializes in drilling normal and abnormal pressure sand sequences typically encountered along the Gulf Coast. Manti has achieved dramatically reduced drilling and completion costs while delivering completions capable of record production rates. Manti's drilling team includes both engineers and drilling operation managers with greater that 130 years of drilling experience. High Pressure Completion Design: Manti's team has had extensive experience with deep high pressure completions. We use in-house software to analyze tubular stability and loading to optimize the use and minimize the investment. Careful attention is given to designing drawdown curves to avoid damage to the near-wellbore. Tubulars are designed to ensure integrity, but also to provide the maximum flexibility in future recompletion or stimulation attempts. Fracture Stimulation: Manti has established a track record of significantly improving marginal field performance, which has been accomplished in many instances with the highly successful application of massive hydraulic fracture technology. Through its own experience and extensive studies of successful stimulations in the Frio, Vicksburg, and Wilcox trends, Manti has developed criteria for optimum job design to achieve maximum AOF. Each design involves specific combinations of pumping rates, sand concentrations, and fluid types tailored for pre-job pressure buildup analysis and rate performance data. Artificial Lift Design & Optimization: Effective application of artificial lift expertise and technology has consistently yielded dramatic production gains in every instance where Manti has assumed responsibility for operations in mature oil fields. Manti's personnel have extensive experience in all types of artificial life including gas lift, rod pump, and plunger lift. Facility Design & Installation: Optimizing facility performance is a critical step in maximizing production rates and eliminating waste for reduced operating expenses. Typically in gas fields early optimization steps include nodal analysis and compression utility studies to identify opportunities to reduce pressure drops and increase rates. Gas Plant Processing: Manti's personnel have extensive experience in the design, construction, and operations of gas plants. This expertise ensures Manti maximizes the BTU realizations whether as gas or GPL products through the construction of its own facilities or the negotiation of processing agreements. |
