James Magee, General Councel
Jim is the General Counsel of Manti’s worldwide operations and also manages the investments of Manti Resources, Inc. and Manti Holdings outside of the core exploration and production operations. He supervises the risk management professionals throughout the company’s operations. Jim graduated from Drew University in 1979 with honors. Jim was named a Samuel Kaplan Memorial Scholar and was a Rhodes scholarship nominee. In 1982, Jim obtained a JD from Louisiana State University and received the Exxon Legal Scholarship Award. In 2003, Jim was inducted in the Drew University Athletic Hall of Fame. From 1982-2008, Jim was a partner in the firm of Baldwin & Haspel in New Orleans and was a member of the firm Management Committee for years. Jim is a two time award winner from Meritas, an international organization of leading law firms, for his efforts in the legal profession.
